Mason Jar Madness!

So… if ya’ll remember I did a swap with Andy a while back.

shoofly

I sent her a XL Shoo fly and She sent me a Sign! She had made one for herself and posted it on her blog and the MOMENT I saw it I knew EXACTLY what I would do with it if I had it! So I asked and we swapped and yay!

I had wanted to get it up on Christmas break but you know how that goes! It was just to crazy and spending a day tearing apart the kitchen just never worked out. So I did it last Saturday!

Lets start with a before. The top of my kitchen cabinets have looked like this forever. Probably 4 years or so. It was way past time for a redo.

First… remove and clean. OMG… there was full grown dust bunny up there. Long haired and everything! GROSS! LOL! Don’t worry. I gave him a good home!

Oh… I forgot to show you this at Christmas. Hubby got me another bench for my farmhouse table! The one on the left is the new one. The right one is my old one. I love it! And they came in very handy for the kitchen makeover. I put them in front of the counter and up and down I went all day without having to use a small step stool. I tell ya… I got one heck of a work out!!!!!!

Ok… after 3,000 reps of up and down off those benches… here is the finished product! I love it!

New and shiny!

What do ya think?

Until next time…

I LOVE it too!! Looks great. I need to start collecting mason jars again, I used to have lots, and slowly donated them. Silly me! I can relate with the dust bunnies on the top of the cabinets. Every few years I go gung-ho cleaning mine, and it is NASTY!!!!!!!! :)

Looks great! I have that same darn area above the cabinets (what a waste of space) and don't know what to do with it. I don't have enough "stuff" to decorate up there.....yet! :)

Carmen I think it is great. The way you have rows of jars higher in the back really gives it a step up look. Your sign is perfect there. I like your stove board too. Hubby got my arrow heart after Valentines Day on clearance last year. My fav prim store closed soon after that. I have seen them in Country Sampler. Maybe someone will take a heart to the goodwill store soon. You got a great buy on the other hangers. The key did not come with it. It is a ring with three keys from Parks design. Your benches are pretty. Blessings!

very nice display..... I have a bunch of blue jars, as well. I'd really like to find some amber ones. I wish I had more display space or less stuff. I'd love to be able to see all my stuff.

Wow that is awesome. Yes I love it. Thanks for showing me the idea. I don't have the same space on top of my cabinets but I do have a large space over my china cabinet though.
