Hi Peeps,
Happy Monday to you. Or not. I am not having the greatest morning ever. My tooth is still hurting. We are appointment one into a two part root canal on one of my top side teeth and I thought it was not supposed to hurt after he took the root out. The initial appointment was not smooth but I thought it wasn't supposed to hurt after. The root canal happened because a filling I had fell out. He refilled it 3 months ago but it never got better. Progressively and slowly got achier.
Anyway, it still hurts. In fact it hurts more now than before I had it done. It hurts if my teeth touch. It hurts if I accidently bite down and my bottom tooth touches it. It hurts when I wear my night guard that I have been wearing 15 years. It hurts if I push on it. I just don't understand. I'm unbelievably miserable and the thought of going through more dental work to finish this Thursday scares the crap out of me. My tooth hurts. It aches. And it has jabbing pain if it gets touched. I'm so miserable.
If anyone can share their experience I would appreciate it. I'm scared something is wrong. I'm getting different answers and I just don't know. The dentist opens at 10 and I will call him right away but I would like other opinions please. By the way... this is my regular dentist and I've been going to him for years. I trust him. He's good. And I have always taken immaculate care of my teeth. I brush 2x a day and floss everyday. I don't know why this is happening to me.
On to happier news...
Last week I received a wonderful surprise package from Gina at Cat Nap Inn Primitives!
I so love surprises! Thank you Gina!
Look at this beautiful candle mat she made.
I am pretty sure I’m going to frame this and put it with my bee stuff come spring.
A wonderful pumpkin with crow!
Does it get any better?
No…. this is the best!!! ♥♥ Yay more pumpkins!!!
Lastly she sent me a candy apple! I love this.
And I am so glad she sent it because I really want to make some these. Donna is sending me some kitty litter. So Gina’s is fantastic to copy! Isn’t it darling!?
Thank you so much Gina for the wonderful surprise package. You are so generous, talented and kind and you made my day. :) Thank you so much!
Until next time…

Love all your goodies, so sweet of Gina to surprise you! I hope your pain lessens soon, I had several bone spurs removed form my shoulder in April and a long recovery from the surgery and guess what? yup, my shoulder still hurts, argh!

hugs to you~
Teresa
I hear ya on the tooth pain. Dealing with that myself. I hate dental work, and I hurt more after, and still have to go back, hate it! Talk to your dentist and see what's up. I'd hate to say get a second opinion since you trust this dentist, hopefully you won't have to do that.
Such wonderful things from Gina! How nice of her!
Blessings, Jessica
Hi Carmen,
Love all your goodies from Gina! They are prim ... purfect! As far as the root canal goes, my last one was a real killer .. not the procedure, just afterwards. It took a few days for me to believe it really worked. If the area (your check included) becomes hot or red or you have a fever, you may need antibiotics so call your dentist. Hope you are feeling better by the time you read this.
Once again it appears the US postal service messed up....I truly think that crow and pumpkin were supposed to come to ME!! ;o) Just teasing....Love all your goodies - the colors of the pennies on that mat are gorgeous - and love the caramel apple - haven't seen those before. But, come on....The Crazy Cat Lady with all those cats doesn't have any kitty litter? Now I'm worried.... ;o)
Re the tooth - like I said previously - I've had two nightmarish experiences and ended up losing the tooth in the end anyways - and yes, it hurt like the dickens for a day or so - and things didn't get back to "normal" for a week or better - but the pain you are describing is not normal in my book....that's really intense....Did they give you any pain killers?? I would really try to get across to the dentist that this is beyond what you understand should be "normal" discomfort....tell him the same way you described it in this post....that's just not right....Wishing you relief - and fast....You made my mouth hurt just reading this!!
Feel-better-hugs ~ Robin
Carmen,
Great goodies from Gina!! She is such a sweety. She is the first person in blogland to talk to me when I first started blogging over 3 years ago.
I hope your pain goes away soon. I had problems with my last root canal and it took a while for the pain to go away afterwards. Your dentist might need to give you an antibiotic.
Take care and hugs,
Cindy
Gina sent you some great things. Her pennyrugs rugs are great. My hubby is going thru the same thing with his tooth, had a root canal last year and his tooth has hurt off and on for a year and now it is all of the time, dentist says he can't find anything. I want him to go to someone else for a second opinion. Hope you feel better soon.
Oooooh what nice things Gina sent you...how sweet of her. What fun to get something unexpected in the mail and especially when you feel so yucky. I was a dental assistant many years ago and I suggest you call IMMEDIATELY...dont wait tuntil they opne. They should have an emergency line. Explain that you are in an abnormal amount of pain. If they shrug it off, please get a second opinion...it's important. That being said, I sure hope everything calms down in your mouth and you feel better soon !
Gracfe to you,
Margie
oh Carmen I an sorry to hear about your pain..but I would definitely call them first thing and have them get you in to find out whats wrong.glad you love your goodies..and I got a wonderful thank you card today in the mail..you are a sweetheart.;) and you are most welcome.;)
Love your gifts! Especially the candy apple! Sorry you're in pain! I can relate! I've had a root canal and they can be painful during the process until everything heals. I've 2 and the first one was great; pain-free. The second one, not so good. I guess it just depends on how badly infected the root was to begin with. I lived on Advil until the pain was completely gone. Hope you can see the dentist soon and maybe get some pain meds. You also may need an antibiotic because maybe you have an infection. My sister was in so much pain from a root canal, she ended up in the emergency room. Hang in there!!! Feel better!!
Oh, I am so sorry to hear about you tooth. I hate the dentist even when things are fine. I love your surprise package. How sweet. Good luck. -Steph-
I hope you're pain-free now. I love the penny rug beehive, very cute.
