Hi Friends… thought we'd move on to more of Primcats house today.
A peek at the bed room… the least decorated room in primcats house. Always neglected. lol. Nothing amazing to see in here but lets take a peek anyway!
Down the hallway.
Past the antique mirror…
To the custom built screen door.
Why a screen door you ask? Well… our bed is *our* bed…. not the cats bed. And if I let them they will sleep in there all day and never get out of our bed. So a few years ago I decided to put up a screen door because the solid wood door left the room cold with no circulation.
Tada… this is what I made. And it works great. The primcats come to bed with us at night and then in the morning… out they go. Yet the room stays an even temperature because air can flow.
I bought a premade screen door on sale for $14.00. Took off the screen. Painted some chicken wire black and attached it.
Super farmhouse prim! And super effective!
The welcome sign and star at the garage door opening where everyone comes in.
The love nest. LOL! Quilt from Walmart clearance. Cheap!
Curtains… Goodwill. :)
My Jim Shore cat collection, on a good will shelf. Of course!
Gotta have a bunny too! Goodwill find!
One sad shiny pumpkin. lol!
One lone Scardy cat!
All quilts and blankets from Goodwill. Crock stand from a vendor t Gathered Treasures.
Beautiful Bonnets by Lecia.
Oranges by me. :) Basket and flowers from goodwill.
Tracy holding down the bed.
Through Ebby’s ears.
She’s laughing at Mom. Sweet Ebby!
Oh the furniture. This was my Mom and Dads first furniture. It’s seen better days… but hey… someday I will replace it. Until then… it works.
The washstand. $15.00 from the goodwill. Lamp Good will. Pfaltzgraff Goodwill.
So many wonderful treasures on it. Treasures from all over.
Angie’s Pumpkins and cat. Jessica’s stitchery. Trish’s Pumpkin, Pin keep and Autumn pic.
The other side…
My wonderful Hooked rug!
These close ups are for Robin. We were talking about what kind of hooking it is. I know nothing about hooking or wool… so here ya go Robin. It’s like little strips. Did I do good for $25.00? I saw one today Exactly like it for $49.00 in Wanesville at a prim shop. Mus tbe mass produced. Oh well... I still love it. :)
Nothing amazing. 1970's dresser with some prims on it and willow tree figures all from the gw.
Goodwill bird cage. $9.99. Steal!
What bird? LOL
And back to the love nest. (Which Tracy and Ebby were cat napping in ~ Hence the Cat Nap Inn Pic over the bed.)
Not very prim~azing… but I’ll take it. :)
Until next time…

Carmen, I understand about least decorated room in the house! I never put anything in our bedroom. I love the idea of your screen door - didn't you put one up in the dinning room too? Your Goodwill finds always amaze me - I'm very impressed! Have a good weekend. ~Ann
It's beautiful Carmen! I LOVE that chicken wire door, so pretty and prim!
Beautiful room Carmen! I LOVE that screen door!
Love your fall prim bedroom Carmen! I just love seeing your kitties too. :) The screen door is a great idea! I'm always kicking the cats off our beds during the day. They don't really sleep with us at night. In fact the big boy usually wakes us up at an unGodly hour to be petted. I'd need a screen to keep him away so we can sleep through the night. ;) I hate closing our door because of the circulation thing too.
Have a great Sunday!!
Jessica
Screen door was a great idea! Kick those little kitties out of bed and keep them up during the day so that maybe they'll let you get some sleep at night. Don't they have quite the life? ~Roberta
I love your screen doors ~ they look amazing! And my favorite is the kitty with the feather on his mouth ~ very cute!
Great nest Carmen! Looks so purr-fectly cozy!! Love the screen door too - too funny, we did the exact same thing when our son was little....Didn't want the cat sleeping with him, but wanted to be able to hear him/see him, and control the temperature, so we took the door off and replaced with a screen door. It was the cat's meow! And, yup, your rug is hooked - but mass-produced. There are a lot of them these days coming out of China - I know Joni carries them at her shop in Rapids too. You used to be able to spot them a mile away, but, lately, the quality has gotten to be very good and it's hard to sometimes tell they are imports. Thing you scored with the price!! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday (and hey - there's quite a few kitties in there for it not being sleepy night time!) ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Love all your home decor. The screen door is a neat idea. Looks like your kitties are relaxing a bit. Your bedroom looks so neat and tidy. I seem to have neglected ours for decorating other rooms. Hope to get it decorated next. So much to do and so little time. Thanks for the tour.

So pretty Carmen. I can just imagine how cozy it is at night with all those kitties cuddled up. I love your quilt collection. I've been looking for one all summer long but can't find one large enough and in decent condition.
Carmen~ looks wonderful~ Meow!!!
You know I am seriously considering a screen door for my one kitchen doorway the Kitty Cats just invade & like to destroy the kitchen~ It is on Hubby & me's to do list~ "A Wonderful Creative Carmen idea!!"

that sign above your bed is how I got my business name..I have that painting as well..I love your bedroom..big and spacious and love all the decor.)
Carmen you have a very nice bedroom. When we had Peek A Boo I had a screen door up in our bedroom too so that he would not get on the bed. When we had vistors they were amazed at the door. Once he passed away it was hard to take the door down. I got the idea from a Tour of Homes we went on and the owner of the Bed and Breakfast had screen doors at each guest room. She didn't want her cats to disturb the guest. I miss my screen door but miss my kitty of 13 years more.
Hugs
Angela
My room isn't even clean let alone decorated. I love the screen door. Your washstand is beautiful and for 14 bucks. Wow. Love it. -Steph-
