Gibber Jabber, blog disaster, root canal and a fun website…

Happy Caturday Friends… I hope you are all having a good one.

caturday_morning

Had an absolute nightmare happen to me at about 12:30 this morning. My blog disappeared, my gmail was hacked and it was all gone! I was freaking out!! I texted Angie in the middle of the night and she got up and said… it really wasn’t there. I was pretty much hysterical.

After a serious run around I finally got a verification code sent to my phone that I entered and everything came back. I was lucky. Not everyone is… and that reminded me to back up my blog. And I recommend you do the same.

Directions to do so can be found here. Do it now… before you end up freaking out at 1 in the morning like I was.

Moving on…

Today I am going to Jamie’s and we are redoing her kitchen. We are painting the cabinets black! Yay! Her kitchen is 70’s painted cabinets and outdated and we have nothing to lose. I will show you pics once it’s done.

Caturday2

Thursday, I had part one of a root canal. Sad smile Never had one of those before and hope I never need one again. It was terribly painful and I had to be numbed twice and when none of that took they gave me 5 shots to the pallet/roof of my mouth. Holy moly that hurt so bad. When I woke up yesterday morning I felt like someone hit me in the face with  baseball bat. Sad smile I even stayed home from work my head hurt so bad. The roof of my mouth was still super swollen as well. I’m praying next Thursdays appointment goes smoother.

As of right now my tooth still hurts and I don’t understand that. I thought once the root was gone it would stop hurting.

And my bottom tooth keeps poking into the temporary filling in the top tooth that the root canal was started in and it’s hurting. Is that normal?

I’ve been tinkering around the house all week tweaking things. I still have the porch, kitchen and Dining room to show you. I need to get to it huh! LOL. Sorry… I get sidetracked easily.

Oh yes… the website I wanted to share with you…

Yikes, sounds like you had a very painful visit with the dentist. Sure hope you are feeling better. I haven't ever had a root canal so I'm no help but have heard horror stories from some folks that have. Hoping the worse for you is over.
Enjoy your day with Jamie. Can't wait to see pictures

Hi, I've had numerous root canals and none of them have been painful. Your top tooth shouldn't be hitting the temporary filling in your root canal tooth either..
Is this a new dentist that you're seeing ? I hope when he finishes you'll be pain free.. I'm sorry that you've had such a bad experience.. Have a great weekend~~~I hope ! Charlotte

I'm with Charlotte ~ it shouldn't hurt that much, especially with all of the shots you had. I sure hope you are feeling better today. Those black cabinets will look awesome. I painted mine a deep dark navy a few years ago and they are holding up fine. Next I'm going with something a little lighter, an early blue. Have fun!

Bummer 'bout your 'puter issues. Scares me - soon as I'm leaving here I'm gonna check out the instructions you linked to. And sorry to hear of the dental woes as well...I've had more root canals than I care to remember - some went smooth; some did not - in fact, the last two did not. Nothing like having one dentist get 1/2 through it and then say she can't do it - I need to see a specialist; then have the specialist get 3/4th of the way through it only to say the tooth can't be salvaged. Hello. But, no - you should not be having problems with your bottom tooth...I'd be calling someone.....Yeah, I know, it's Caturday...But first thing Monday morn if it's still hurtin'....Have fun painting and primming!! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Carmen,
Sorry to hear about your scare with your blog. I use Wordpress and had to change all my log-in info a few months ago, because wordpress said that someone had gotten my info. Lot of crazies out there!!
I've had 3 root canals and on my first one...the dentist that I had at the time couldn't seem to get me numb and had to keep giving me more shots through the whole thing. My second root canals was done by a specialist and it was like a piece of cake. My most recent one...had no problems with the root canal, but had lots of pain off and on for 3 weeks afterwards. The dentist never could figure out why and one day it just stopped hurting. I also had a problem with pain when my tooth below touched my crown...it turned out that the bite on the crown was off. So I'm thinking that maybe your temporary filling is causing the poking that you are having. One the dentist fixed the bite on my crown...everything was good.
Hope you getting feeling better soon.
hugs,
Cindy
