Thrifty Thursday and a giveaway at Primitive Blessings
Thrifty Thursday is here... and that only means one thing in my book... tomorrow is Friday! YAY! I can't wait... I need some down time to put my house back together! It is a WRECK! Christmas stuff is everywhere. Yikes!
I am on staycation next week and I have so much to do! Saturday is cat food day so that is shot. Hopefully it will go perfectly this time and we will get 3 months done as usual. What is cat food day you ask? Well me make our cats food. We have done so since 2006 and have the healthiest cats ever. You can read more about it at www.catinfo.org
So Saturday is shot... and that leaves me 4 days to get the house decorated and everything ready for Thanksgiving dinner. It's going to be a crazy week!
On to the good stuff... My finds for the week. My faithful cat dog Tracy is always there to help me lend a picture taking hand. You guys must think she's the only cat. Not really... she just follows me around like a dog... so she's always right there when I'm taking pics.
So why did I buy an ugly gold wreath? Because Mr Primcat is mad crazy talented with a spray can and is going to paint these right up for me. :) Bells are expensive... but good will wreaths for $2.00 are not. Takes a little time... but it's ok.
Got these molds to wax in... we shall see how that mess turns out. LOL!
The stars are cute!
How about this awesome picture? Loving! $2.00
A small crock. $1.50
A runner. $1.99. It' snot that bright in real life. It's tan and maroon.
For spring... $1.00
Twig star... $1.00
Prim wood pinapple. $0.50
Pine cones... $1.00
And my favorite piece this week...
A cute cream and sugar... $1.50
Pam, at Primitive Blessings Vintage Gift Shop, is giving away a wonderful mitten filled with winter greens, a snowman and a wood sign. How cute is this?
Head on over to sign up!

Great haul as always! Love that picture and the cream and sugar. I wanna see that bell wreath when it's all done...
~Katherine
Oh I love your finds! Especially the molds and the prim picture! Great job. Have fun making the cat food. I'm sure it saves you TON of money doing it yourself! Enjoy your day!
Great finds as always Carmen! Tracy the cat-dog is a sweetie! Enjoy your cat food day and Thanksgiving prep! ~*~Lisa
Tracie is a sweetie. We use to have a cat very similar. Always good to have someone lovin' up on you.
I really like the picture. I think I can stitch something close to that.
I think I would tear that wreath apart, and spray them bells with a rust primer. Toss them in with pine cones, potpourri, anything in a bowl or basket....

Hi Carmen,
SCORE!! :)
You found so many goodies and what awesome prices!!
I need to go shopping with you!!
Cant wait to see what you do with the wreath.
Hugs,
Tam
Wow, Carmen, you got some great deals! I'm especially jealous over the crock for $1.50.
My kitty Blackie is my shadow all day too. If I'm walking through the house and he catches my eye...big mistake. He throws himself down in front of me turns his belly up to be rubbed. So spoiled!
Hugs,
Pam
looks like you got some wonderful finds. Looking forward to seeing the bells all spray painted

What a cute little dog-cat Miss Tracy is! My kitties are the opposite - they spy camera and off they go....Loving that creamer and sugar bowl...but I bet you already guessed that....;o) Have a great Friday! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
You did well, Carmen! I can never pass up a crock! I also love that wooden pineapple, the picture, and the twig star! I love just about anything twiggy! :) I went to GW today but didn't find anything! It just wasn't one of those days, but you did! Great finds!

Slow down girl, you're making me dizzy and tired... lol. Oh, you're young! I was once ya know, with all the vim and vigor to run around in circles. Now, I sit and spin... LOL.
Such is life :o) Hugs~Carol
Great finds!! Love the display with your cream and sugar set. Your cat is adorable I can't have one I am allergic to them but my neighbor has a cat that comes over here all the time to watch my birds! LOL His name is Vinnie I leave water out in the summer for him in a vintage metal pan and he loves it and drinks from it all the time. I would love to get a barn cat but winters are cold. Take care. XO Fran.

Hello Carmen. I come to your blog by way of Elaine's blog Sunny Simple Life. I did see last evening where they deleted her blog and see she is back today. In the comments I saw where you mentioned backing up your blog. Not sure where in your archives you gave advice about this...if not too much trouble could you steer me in the right direction? I appreciate any help. Thanks. Oh, I am now your newest follower.
Susanne :)
