Christmas in the living room…

This is the living room. Yep there it is! And as I look at this pic I see I forgot to clean the coffee table! LOL! Oh well! We all LIVE in our houses right! You might as well see my lived in look!

The mantle…

All aglow…

Sheepie sheep. I luvs me some prim sheep. Prim sheep are right up there on the top of my list with Prim cats! I got this one at the Aladdin Shrine show we went to.

This adorable little mouse is one of the two things I bought at the Merry Makers Folk Art show. Isn’t she amazing!!!! Love her.

I also got this crow at the Merry Makers. Tammy and Jamie got one too. We always try to buy something “together” at each show. It’s silly but we do. :)

My mom made the candy canes.

I got these cute socks at my local Prim Shop.

And I stuffed them with tissue paper to make them full and tucked in a few cute tucks!

Tada!!!!  The living room tree!!!!

(Ack! I forgot to straighten the chair covers! lol.)

Another sticker!

What do you think of that tree skirt? It’s actually a panel to a set of curtains I own!!!! Repurposing!

You can also see the cat door to the enclosure in this pic. That’s how the kitties get out into their safe space!

Why are my curtain panels so short you ask?

Well… because I have rehung my curtains about a million times over the years because the cats kept pulling them down winding in and out of the long panels. I gave up and just started using short panels instead. And the kitties like it better because they can always see out or lay in the patch of sunlight that steams in even when we have the panels closed. It may look a little funny but it works for us. Again… we live here. It isn’t a museum.

The other side of the room…

And I made a change to the Charlie Brown tree. I swapped out the shiny glass ball for a prim fat Santa and I replaced Linus’s blue blanket with the valance that matches my “tree skirt”. ;)

Much more prim now!

That is 3 walls of the living room. You will have to wait ‘til tomorrow for the 4th!!!!

Until next time…

You know Carmen I just might have to steal your mantle window idea. I have one window hanging in the center of my fireplace with candle sconces on each side. I love the way the 3 windows look. Believe me when I say I have tons of extra old windows in my basement just waiting to be used somewhere. Thanks for the idea. Your decorating has encouraged me to definitely get busy in my own home this weekend. Thanks for the little extra nudge. Your home is so inviting and I know everyone will love your decorating when they visit you this Christmas.
Hugs,
AMY

Carmen, love all the windows! Hey, lived in is GOOD! We all live right? LOL! My home is definately lived in! I have kids, and they make things challenging to keep it tidy all the time!
Clever idea to use the curtain for a tree skirt. Love all your decorations!
Thanks for sharing.
God bless,
