Simple crown molding…

Just wanted to share with you what a little crown molding can do for a room. And how simple and cheap it really is to put it up.

We used plain 1’ x 3” pine boards and just square cut them. No mitering. Same as we did the chair rail. It’s crazy what a difference it makes in the room. We will definitely be adding more throughout the house.

My after Christmas gifts…

 

After Christmas Hubby and I always buy something for ourselves. This years “after” Christmas presents were for me! Yay!

Hubby paid half on a laptop for me! I’ve wanted one for years  but couldn’t justify it. I’m cheap… what can I say. He made it happen and I so appreciate that! :) It’s lovely and I’m currently typing this post on it!

And my second favorite after Christmas is my own big Craftsmen tool box. I’m a very handy girl and I have a million of my own tools. I out grew the space in the laundry room and hubby decided it was time that I had my own tool box. I love it. :) I lined all the drawers and neatly arranged my tools. I can’t wait for our next project!

Hi friends!

Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! And I hope Santa brought everyone something wonderful! I’m on vacation this week so I’ve been home chilling out an playing with all my new gifts!

We had a wonderful Christmas here at Primcats visiting, eating and exchanging gifts.

I got so many wonderful treasures! Some highlights!

Mom made me this wonderful gathering for my bathroom. The one that was in there was icky! LOL! This is much better!

She got me these two adorable metal cats. I don’t know what they’re made of but I love them.

Mom also made me a wonderful box of ornies and rag garland. And some delish smelling candles!

And this great basket of rag balls.

A stunning wood checker board for my growing collection! Some day soon I shall achieve the game board wall!

From my Dad and Step mom I got…

This adorable print which I hung in my prim room.

This wonderful metal bird.

This amazing antique pewter teapot!!!

And this set of beautiful pewter candle sticks.

All these great Hallmarks came from mom and Tammy. With thrift store queens like them my collection grows!

An adorable blossom Bucket!

An Arrow hanger with candy canes from hubby and a hanger from mom and the bells came from the thrift store last week for $2.50. Super deal. I can’t wait to hang these up and collect all the seasons!

Some gifts I bought Hubby! He loved them. This first sign he thought was hysterical. and we say I to each other all the time. lol! 

He got a kick out of this too!

My Bestie Tammy got me a bunch of treasures!

The most adorable Blossom Bucket Ornie that says Best Friends. It made me cry. :)

Then she made me this beautiful print of the two of us on vacation last summer picking shells out the water. Isn’t that the sweetest. ♥

The Sturbridge Tablecloth…

 

I ordered a tablecloth for the dining room a few weeks ago and of course it took way longer to come in than the few days they promised. I finally got it. It looks sooooooo much better!

The only thing I want to change is I want to paint the legs of the table black to blend in with the chairs. What do you think?

A few early gifts…

 

Saturday night we had dinner and a Christmas exchange with our friends Jamie and Curt.

I had gotten the most amazing deal earlier this year. I got her an entire set of Pfaltzgraff Folk Art at the Goodwill. It was a set serving 10. Unbelievable find! I’m sure I’ll never see a deal like that again!

Anyway… she LOVED it! And I was thrilled to give it to her. She had admired my set for so long… and now she has her very own.

And just look as these primtastic goodies she got me for Christmas! I love it all!

It was a wonderful evening with wonderful friends and we all made out with some wonderful gifts! I just love Christmas!

My new feather tree

 

 

Well I’ll be a lucky girl!

Last week at the goodwill I found this awesome Feather Tree for $9.99.

How’s that for a deal?

 

  

Then mom came over and made me a bunch of cinnamon and applesauce ornaments.

Interesting side note… To much cinnamon in the air makes my chest squeeze shut and I can’t breathe. Strange random allergies… I’m also allergic to Eucalyptus and Vitamin B in overpowering smelly form. O.O  All three cause me severe breathing stopage. Weird!

But in finished form the ornies and tree turned out sooooo cute!  Now it just needs some dehydrated orange slices to finish it off!

 

So now I have 6 trees!!!!

I just love Christmas!!!!
