I wanted to come here today and share my pretty new blog design with you… but instead I come with a heavy heart for a woman who once had a chance in this world that was taken away by a system that let a child molester (her brother) out of jail and failed her.

For those that don’t know, I am an only child that was never an only child. My mom was a foster parent to many many girls. Our home was a safe haven for so many and I am blessed to have so many sisters in my life. I am still close to quite a few of them. We have all kept in touch. I think that says a lot about what kind of home we had. We were always a real family. Even if you came and went. Still family.
Kara was a part of that family for a many years. She never found peace on this earth and I am terribly haunted with how it all ended but I ask that every one please take a moment and pray for her to have peace where ever she is because it never came to her in her time here. She deserves peace. ♥

Carmen this is so very sad. I am so terribly sad for your sister. Sadly I world is a dark place and only getting darker. Of course there are good people but we are finding so many people that should be safe are instead people using their positions for very sick things. Have peace my friend. I hope your sister is at peace as well.

Such evil that people do against a child! The child is innocent, but grows up with this secret suffering that is internal. My dear girl I'm so sorry about your 'foster sister' - it is a horrible thing that has happened but I'm so glad you have good memories to carry on with.
There are far too many children that are lost in the system and become a 'Kara' - we don't know why this is - but it is. If only the right people would LISTEN TO THEM!
