Weigh In Wednesday 3/2/11
Happy Hump Day Blogging Buddies! It’s half way to the weekend and I am grateful for that!
For those of you that don’t know I work a 8-5 / M-F job. It is a decent paying job (only meaning it keeps us “somewhere in the middle”), but as someone who’s current work I admire greatly so referenced her old job to me in an email this week, it’s a Soul Sucking job. Sucks the life out of me everyday. Blah. So come Wednesday I am glad the weekend is halfway here. Always looking forward to Wednesday…
Not this week though! Why you ask? Well it’s weigh in Wednesday and I ended my strict Cinch! diet on last Thursday. EEK!
Lets just get to it! >.<
Here’s where we are today.
Ideal Weight: 110-115
Starting Weight Jan 3, 2011: 145 Pounds
Last weeks weigh in: 132 pounds 13 ounces
Current weight: 133 pounds 4 ounces
Total lost so far: 11 pounds 7 ounces
I gained this week. :/
Not much. Only 7 ounces. But I still gained. And that’s a bummer.
I cheated this weekend too so I’m not surprised. Hubby hasn’t had Pizza since I started this diet (out of respect for me) so Saturday he asked and I said heck yes! and he ordered some and I joined in! Oh YUM! Pizza will never get old! LOL! So good! And then as I decorated away into the night I decided to have some wine… which always helps me see what I’m going for a little more creatively. :)
So I was no angel over the last week. No angel at all.
On the flip side… I don’t feel that overly bad. The 7 ounces I gained back isn’t even half a pound and it’s probably water weight from adding salt back into my diet with he Lean Cuisine meals. At least that’s what I’m hoping. Next weeks numbers will tell the tale.
I have also decided that I am not going back to the gym. While I enjoyed it greatly I am convinced that the gym is where I picked up all the germs that plagued me for the last 6 weeks. Having Crohns I have a weekend Immune system. What doesn’t bother anyone else can send me down for a long time. I guess its just not worth the risk. The weather is changing and I can get back to walking at lunch everyday. So that works for me.
That’s it for my weigh in. Wish me luck for next week! I don’t want to go up again!
Until next time…

Tuesday Display Chain ~ Spring
Misi at http://1890gablehousemusings.blogspot.com/ is kind enough to invite us all to join in on her weekly display chain and I vowed NOT to miss this week! I’m so sad I missed last weeks bowls because I had some great bowls to post. So this week I am early. It’s Monday night and I’m composing my post so I don’t miss out!
This weeks theme is " Thought of Spring time, accenting with Floral's , picks and vines" and lucky me… I spent all of Saturday decorating for spring! And even luckier for me… it went right along with the theme. :)
Without further ado… my weekend decorating escapades… for Spring!
First… the pie safe area in the kitchen…

I bought this WONDERFUL scale back in January and I have been DYING to decorate with it. I added some Spanish moss (my floral) to that great bowl and a prim little spring bunny holding a nest and bird (more florals) . Then some carrots for color! Fun! I ♥ it! I also got that sifter back in January. You have seen it before and now here it is. :) And there's that little buttocks basket I got for 50 cents too!

I have had this grain bin forever and could never find spot for it. I grabbed some floral foam I bought at the goodwill for 50 cents and made this lilac spray (floral’s) for inside. Also got the lilacs bunches for 50 cents at GW! Deal! Now I love it! So springy! Come on lilacs!

Next I did the shelf to the left…

A wonderful little birds nest (floral), concrete bird, and a framed pic that says “It’s the small things after all.” That is a real birds nest that I picked up after it fell out of a tree. I ♥ it. So sweet.

Next we move onto the stove board where I put an adorable little bunny my mom bought me (Thanks Mom, I love him!) in a wooden bowl with some dried grass (floral) and some prim eggs. I also added two little Sandicast bunnies. Sandicast animals are so adorable!

To the entry way. A twiggy wreath and an adorable nest!

An lastly I took a large cranberry scoop and the rest of the foam I had left over from the lilac gathering in the grain bin and put this light box gathering together. I bought all the florals at the GW for $1.50. $1.00 for the picks and 50 cents for the crocuses. The cranberry scoop came from the GW for $3.00 years ago as well as the little lamp.
I really love this piece! It simply makes me smile every time I see it! Sun shiny!

Come on spring! Bring on those crocuses!!!!

That’s it for my spring displays so far! I’m sure there will be more soon. Especially since I won a wonderful spring gathering from Misi! Can’t wait for it to arrive!
And a big thanks to Misi for hosting the display chains! Always inspiring! Can’t wait to see everyone else's displays!
I’ll share more pics tomorrow from the decorating. You know it spread farther than just those spots… it always does! :)
Until next time…
