As promised… a new kind of Thrifty Thursday today.
My Thrift stores have been dryer than the desert lately in deals. It’s almost garage sale season and people are saving up for their sales and not donating as much which is leaving me without anything to share.
So in the spirit of still being thrifty… here is my Thrifty coupon haul from Walmart this week.
They also cover tons of other stores too! Check out their front page on the left and see if your store is there!
I use them for Meijer, CVS and Walgreens too.
www.afullcup.com is one of my favorite sites for coupon matchups. Makes couponing quick and easy because someone else does the hard work for you! All you do is look at the matchups, see if you have the coupon and go buy it. Not much to think about!
Wow. Have I been a bad blogger lately or what? Yikes. Punish me!
My apologies for my absence. My life has been unbelievably boring lately and I have not really had much to share.
The one big thing that's happened over the last 2 weeks was the Gathered Treasures Show where I met up a ton of blog friends. It is not often that happens! They have all already shared, I'm sooooo late.
I got there super late so we didn't have a lot of time but I got to say hello to Angie, Linda, Cindy, Earlene, Ann, Stacey and Cheryl. Pretty big deal eh? :) You can findlots of pictures on their blogs! Visit them. They are all wonderful ladies whom I adore!
But I have bigger news!!!
My weigh in yesterday was 130!
Hello? Did you hear me?
That's an official 20 pounds lost since January 9th.
20 pounds gone!
I am super proud!
I am still doing weight watchers and still Zumbaing 3 days a week at the YMCA. It's going great! My weight loss has slowed way way down on a per week poundage. I was losing about 2 pounds per week but now that I'm closing in on that last 15 pounds... it's slowing down to a little less than a pound a week. I knew that would happen. But I'm cool with it. Just going to keep at it until I hit my goal weight of 115. :)
I will be back tomorrow with Thrifty Thursday... but not the type you are used to. ;) You will have to come back tomorrow to see!
First thing's first is I want to send out a Prayer request for Felicia at Raggedy Creations. She is int ho hospital and not doing well. Please stop by her blog, http://raggedycreations.blogspot.com/ and leave her a little pick me up. I am sure she could use it. Being in the hospital stinks!
Sorry I haven't been around much lately, I'm just not in the mood to blog. (I dare not say "nothing is going on" after what happened last week.)
I thought I had steered clear of Mr. Primcats cold... but I woke up with it Friday morning and have been sick ever since. Yuk! I seriously hate snot. I feel like a germy little kid. lol.
I was so sick that I missed Zumba Saturday. :( I set my alarm clock hoping for a miraculous recovery, but nope... my head was pounding. SO back to sleep I went. That made me really sad. I do ♥ my Zumba days.
Sunday we had a really nice Easter dinner with friends and family. Nothing to big or fancy. Just a nice get together.
I did go to Zumba Monday and I almost died. lol. I laugh but it was pretty bad. About a half hour in, I felt this cold chill come over me like when you have a fever and my whole body turned red, like I had a terrible sunburn. It was weird. Everyone was freaking out. I just sat down waited for it to pass and then jumped back in when I could.
I did Zumba toning (weights) last night with Jamie at home and then Rush, a 20 minute class. But I put very little effort into either. Just keeping it low key until this cold passes. I will be zumbaing tonight too. I hope I can hold up through the class. I will go easy. I believe in resting when you are sick, but I don't believe in just quitting. I still have to do something, even if it's only the effort. :)
My weight was insane over the past 5 days. I drank gallons of orange juice over the past few days and was bloated up like I couldn't believe. On Sunday, pre-dinner, I weighed in at 137. Yikes. I was not feeling good.
So lets get to today.
Starting Weight: 150
Last weeks Weigh in: 132
This weeks weigh in: 132
Total Lost :
No loss this week... but that's ok because I was totally expecting a gain this week after all the juice and somehow it leveled back out. I will take it!
I wanted to come here today and share my pretty new blog design with you… but instead I come with a heavy heart for a woman who once had a chance in this world that was taken away by a system that let a child molester (her brother) out of jail and failed her.
May you find peace where ever you are, Sister.
You never had it here, but you deserved it everyday.
You were kind and loving and I will walk this world with only happy memories of and for you.
Rest now sweet child.
Love you. Sisters always.

For those that don’t know, I am an only child that was never an only child. My mom was a foster parent to many many girls. Our home was a safe haven for so many and I am blessed to have so many sisters in my life. I am still close to quite a few of them. We have all kept in touch. I think that says a lot about what kind of home we had. We were always a real family. Even if you came and went. Still family.
Kara was a part of that family for a many years. She never found peace on this earth and I am terribly haunted with how it all ended but I ask that every one please take a moment and pray for her to have peace where ever she is because it never came to her in her time here. She deserves peace. ♥
Thanks for stopping by my blog. My name is Carmen and this is my little corner of the internet. Since June 2009 my blog has focused on my love of primitive décor but I am currently delving into my other passion as well... cats and their wellbeing. Ergo… Primcats!
