A visit with Earlene ~ Primitive Passion Decorating

Hi Peeps!

Through my years of blogging I have made so many wonderful friends and been so blessed to have met so many of them in person.

One of those wonderful friends I have been blessed with is Earlene from Primitive Passion Decorating. She is such a kindred spirit. I very much enjoy spending time with her.

So last Sunday we decided to head to Michigan for a visit. She last paid me a visit here so it was my turn! Since Earlene and Norm have a bike too we decided to make a day riding trip out of it.

After morning Zumba and our Memorial Ride last Saturday we headed up to Lakeview, Ohio at Indian Lake to spend the night with friends and get us closer to Michigan for our Sunday Trip. We woke up early Sunday and hit the road to meet Earlene and Norm at Cabela’s in Dundee, MI. We met them there around noon and spent a little time tooling around the store looking at all the cool stuff they have there.

Their camping section is AWESOME! Love all the fun little things you can buy. We picked up some Knot Bones for the lines on our camper. We shall see if that helps us set up our screen room easier.

Not the best picture but here we are standing on the second floor in front of the Cabela’s mountain.

Have you ever been to a Cabela’s?

They have some really cool displays of animals. I am not for hunting for sport, only for food, but I do find these really neat. I get to see animals I would never see. And they are beautifully displayed.

A bear you say? Where? lol

After we left Cabela’s Norm and Earlene led us on a beautiful ride to their home. It was great! I never realized Michigan was so pretty because everywhere I have ever been until now has been boring interstate and flat. But they took us into a park to ride, I can’t remember the name, and it was so neat. Hills winding. It was really cool.

We spent a few hours at their house, visiting and enjoying the day. Mostly I was drooling. :)

Their home is just amazing! So inspiring! I loved being in it. I want to just move in! LOL! Their home is ten times more beautiful in person than in her pics and magazines. It’s stunning!

Earlene… your home is AMAZING! You have the touch!

Earlene also gifted me with a framed needle punch of Stars and a cute little Prim Cat with baby. Which I forgot to take a picture of. Sorry! I will later. I brought her a little brown drip pottery creamer that matched some dishes she already has.

If you don’t know Earlene yet head on over and say hello on her blog:

Thank you Earlene and Norm for having us for the day. I see many fun trips between us in our future! Hopefully next time we will have more time! We hated to leave!

We got home around 11pm Sunday night and we were exhausted! We did 550 miles on the Harley in two days! Woohoo! My bootie was a screaming! I was very happy to lay down in my memory foam mattress topper and close my eyes.

Until next time…

Looks like a great trip. That was like going to a zoo! We went to Smokey Mountain Knifeworks (I think) years ago and they had a lot of stuffed wildlife, it was amazing. Enjoy your weekend.

Cabela's is one of our favorite stores. The kids love to see the fish and all the animals. We have one 2 hours from here. My husband has placed more orders to that store than I can even count:). I am so glad you had such a wonderful time with Earlene and Norm. That would be so much fun to visit blogging friends. -Steph-
