~ Christmas in the guest bath ~

Hello Friends...

Can you believe it's 4 days til Christmas? Oh my goodness... I can not. I have so much still to do to get ready for! And I am going to be late in sending out packages. I feel bad... but dang it... I can't do everything on time. LOL!

Pierre, aka Polly, is a the groomer today getting her pretty on so she looks all nice for all the Christmas visitors. She is Mr. Primcats shop cat and mouser ( a really good one too) and our one and only long haired cat. She is also a meanie to put it nicely. I don't think anyone who has ever petted Pierre has ever walked away without getting scratched or bit. She can't help it... her mom was feral and it just runs in her blood. Because of that... we don't dare try brush her. She has made it perfectly clear where she stands on that. She will scratch my eyes out if I even try. So I pay a groomer to do it instead. She is a very brave woman. LOL! I am going to leave her a nice Christmas tip for putting up with mean ol' Polly. ;)

I have to cook tonight... for Christmas breakfast at work tomorrow so I don't know if I will make it to the gym tonight. I have been doing really well. I joined the YMCA last week and have been walking on the treadmill. I really like it. I have never been on a treadmill until now so I didn't know if I could stand it or not. I do get intense vertigo every time I'm on it. And especially when I get off it. The room spins. And I mean Spins. I can't even walk. I just have to stand there for a minute and let my body re-equalize. It's a very weird feeling. But anyway. I have been doing 45 minutes at 3mph to start and I'm doing good. I have at least 30 pounds to lose and I am determined to lose it.

I have been eating healthy again but I'm not going to stress over it till after Christmas. Sometime in the new year I'm going back on the Cinch lifestyle which is what I did earlier this year to lose 15 pounds. It's a really great easy program. You just have to stick to it. And I will. But I'm going to get through Christmas. Start slow. Already committed to the gym with a buddy. So I am gonna rock the healthy starting next week. Booyah!

So today I thought I would show you my guest bath. I have never showed it before. It's cats... DUH. Linda Spivey Country Cats Collection and I love it. My Stepmom Laura got it for me. I ♥ it so much.

I didn't do to much in here. It's small.

I did a Merry Christmas Hand towel on the towel rack. GW of course.

Rachel at Somewhere in the Middle redid this towel rack for me and I love it. It looks so much better than the old one. Thanks Rachel!

THe picture reads "Love comes in many colors." with all different kinds of cats.

I did a small tree in a crock with a tin Star on the counter. All from the goodwill.

And a small snowman nightlight on the back of the toilet.

That's all for today. I will be back soon with the dining room pics. :)

Merry Christmas!

Until Next time...

Dear Carmen,
The bathroom is adorable, not too much kitty but just enough. You did
a great job. The tree in the crock
is a sweet touch.
Polly reminds me of our Puffy. He's a biter (no front claws) and we didn't de-claw Biggy. I wish we had known about how awful it is for the cat. I still feel guilty and it was 8 years ago. Biggy is our mouser for the shop and the cellar at certain times of the year. Yuk, he every so often brings me one. It's awful. But Puffy, well his father was feral so I guess that explains a lot.
The house looks gorgeous. Have a good time at the breakfast. I did the YMCA and it was the best thing I ever did, the treadmill and the
incumbent bicycle. I'm going back in January.
Merry Christmas,
Susan

So cute! I was not familiar with Linda Spivey ... I might have to check this out : ) Best of luck on getting back to your healthy eating & weight loss. I have been doing likewise & have been doing well since May. I will be eating just a tiny bit of "forbidden stuff" at Christmas & then getting back to the "healthy lifestyle" once the new year gets here. It's easy when you make up your mind it's what you need to do. Blessings, Shirlee

What a beautiful long-haired cat! We had a long-haired cat when I was growing up but he was so playful that it was impossible to keep from matting... yours is gorgeous!

Your bathroom is the best, Carmen! As a fellow kitty lover, I can truly appreciate its awesomeness! LOL

Bravo to you for exercising and trying to eat right. I've managed to hold the line at the pounds that I lost last month, and after Christmas will be working harder to do better.

Hugs,
Pam

Your bathroom looks so nice. At our previous house I had the guest bath decorated in a cat theme. Love the towel rack that Rachel refinished, looks great. I like how you put the tree in the crock, very prim.
