Crafty Friday with Lil Raggedy Angie

The last 2 Fridays Lil Raggedy Angie and I have gotten together to “make stuff”. Mostly it’s just me making a mess of her house… but I digress. We actually have accomplished something other than just having a blast hanging out!

The first thing we made were Crow cans from the tutorial on Pams blog Our Pioneer Homestead. She posted this and I knew right away I HAD to have them for me and all my girls. I asked Angie if she would help my non sewing self and she said sure… so off we went…

I started with this… from the dollar store.  I think Angie fed the actual pears to the squirrels… they are mutant now. YIKES!

And she sewed me crows cuz I don’t want to open my sewing machine. LOL!

IMAG0978

And I snuggled Fudge!

And we grunged some cans…

And then we got this!!!!

What do you think?

Oh and then I decided to grunge this wine bottle (because it was empty and all ;o)  ) …

Which led to this the following Friday…

 IMAG1350

Had to dig through some recycling for those babies! (Angie says if I stick with her we will be dumpster diving next!)

Mr. Primcats has been instructed never to throw away another can or bottle ever. LOL! This is a whole new form of recycling!

There are actually a lot more we made that you can see on Angie’s blog. That’s just my hoard. Angie and Jamie both have some too! And I want MORE!!!!!

We also made 6 more crow can’s! Yay Crafty Friday!

No crafts this Friday… it’s cat food weekend. We have 400 pounds of chicken to grind and process into cat food for the Primcats Saturday. Big job but worth it for the health of our babies. :) We have been raw feeding since 2006 and it’s the best thing I have ever done for my cats. Check out http://www.catinfo.org/ for more info on how we feed our kids.

Until next time…

I love how everything turned out. Sounds like you two had a nice time together. :)

But I am in *love* with the crow cans! I saved a can the other day and have been wondering what to make with it. Creative juices are not flowing here lately. lol. I also love crows, just haven't made any yet. Well your crow cans have certainly inspired me to give this a try one of these days! :)

What better way to spend a Friday evening. Spending time with a friend (s) and crafting as well. Love the cans of crows. That one is on my to do list. And I love the bottles. I have been doing those for my craft show, but using the brown bottles. Yours are much better and since brown bottles are getting hard to find, might just start grunging regular bottles. Great idea. Have a great day.

Holy Cow those look like so much fun. You did and amazing job. Those bottles are to die for as well. A lot of people would be happy to see a tut on that!! I'd rather grunge bottles than grind up chicken any day.
