Simple Goods Show

A rainy Monday morning to you. I am seriously starting to think that the good Lord is gonna Ark us all again.

O.O

We have just had WAY to much rain this last month. Ohio hit the all time April record 3 days before the end of the month and it still rained everyday after that. Yuk. Everything is just a terrible muddy mess. I want to get out in my gardens and work them but I can't because it's such a disaster.

And I have completely given up on mopping the floors. They are just a muddy mess with 52 little muddy wet paws running in and out of the cat enclosure 1000 times a day. Soon I will have a nicely packed, fully dirt floor and I won't have to think about it at all. How's that for primitive? ;o)

The forcast is calling for only ONE day rain free this week. Wednesday. We can only hope we even get that!

I know you have all been waiting for my big Simple Goods purchase. I am so sorry I didn't get it posted over the weekend. We did go Ride the Harley Saturday all day even though it was cold. We just couldn't pass up the dryness. It was cold and cloudy most of the day and it barely reached 70 for about 2 hours. I was fully bundled from head to toe. And it did end up raining on us on the way home. It POURED at about 10:30 at night and we got drenched. But we rode 12 hours and 280 miles so it was nice to at least get the bike out even if we froze.

Yesterday was cleaning, laundry and coupon day. Not exciting but all necessary. :)

So here is my SG purchase! If you were paying attention on Thrifty Thursdays post you would have seen this in the back ground.

Ta da!

I got a full set of Pewter dishes to serve 8 for my pie safe!

I just love the look!

Besides the bonnet rack and pewter, I bought this last little item. A small Beeskeep purse which is in the front entry with the rest of the bee goodies.

WOW! Love the pewter dishes. What a great find. They are beautiful in your pie safe. I was wondering , those of you that have pewter do you actually use it on ocassion or is it just for looks? I don't think I could use mine, if I had it. Love the little bee keep bag. I want to try my hand at making a concrete bee keep. I love them. Hoping the rain goes away and you have a great week.

I know what you mean about the mud, I am in Fort Wayne, In and its the same here. I also have 3 dogs running in and out all day long and I have hard wood floors. I bought one of those steam mop thingies from QVC and I think I'm in love! So far so good, it sanitizes the floor and on your bare feet it feels so clean! I have been painting my DR during all this crummy rain (sorry Lord), trying to stay busy with Spring cleaning projects. Also bought myself a new vacume made to lift dog hair.
Happy Prims to you!

Oh, my! talk about gorgeous! You must be thrilled. It looks great in the safe!
We have had something of a reprieve from the rain but I am reluctant to shampoo this carpet for fear it will start back up. We have 36 little feet tracking in plus 2 big clod-hoppers and whatever guests we get. Oh, well. That's why we have this room. Here's to more dry days ahead for you!<><

Well we have finally hit a dry spell, know what you mean, I didn't mop either during the rainy period we had, no point. Love your pewter set, looks great in your cabinet. I have a set, wouldn't part with it for anything. Pewter just adds that touch you can't get with anything else, enjoy yours. Vicky

When we woke up this morning and my daughter saw all the puddles out on the deck and she said, "Mom, the April showers didn't end in April."

I can't believe you scored a full set of pewter! Be still my heart!! I've been looking on ebay but haven't come across a full set. Awesome find - I'm so jealous. By chance does the vendor you bought it from have a store?

I just have four muddy paws in and out .. She is a beagle/ cocker spaniel mix and her four feet are like four little dirty and wet mops walking on the floor !
