A trip to Primitive Blessings ~ Orient, Ohio

0409011140
Hello Prim friends! I am so excited to share this post with you! This last Saturday Jamie and I set out on a shopping trip south of Columbus, Ohio… the trip was to go to North Shore Primitives and hit up whatever else we could find along the way.
Last year on our way to North Shore, I was driving along and as I came to a rail road underpass, just on the other side I spotted a sign… Primitive Blessings. I slammed on the brakes! LOL! No really. Ask Tammy and Jamie. SLAMMED them on an screeched into the lot! It’s a miracle I didn’t get rear-ended!
So we get out of the car and go in and this is your first look…

Stunning right? White and clean and gorgeous!
And I would love to tell you that I kept my big trap shut… but I didn’t. Out of my mouth comes disappointment. “Aw Man. It’s all white. Bummer.”
(You all know I intentionally don’t use white in my home. I went from Shabby Chic whites and pastels to Primitive. I am all whited out. )
And right then around the corner pops Pam… the lovely owner, and she heard me… oops. :/ I explained myself, my deferment to white, and we made friends. She is so nice and her store is amazing anyway. Nothing but good to say about it as you are about to see. And I came out of there that day with a great scale that I haven’t hung yet… but with my growing kitchen collection I need to get it hung soon! So that was late last fall.
Last weekend we walked in and everything is all decked out for spring and Easter and it’s just beautiful. And around the corner pops Pam and says, “Well I was wondering if you ladies were going to come back!” I said, “You remember us?” She said, “Of course! You said my store was to white!” And we had a great laugh! I just love kind, kindred spirits!
Pam is just the best. We had so much fun shopping with her and she just made it so much more fun with the personal service she gave us. I asked her if I could share her wonderful store on my blog and she said yes! So I just started snapping away! Now I really wish I would have gotten a picture with her! She really was so good to Jamie and I.
So… let me stop making you read and let you get to the pics! Here we go on a tour of

Here is my new favorite spring piece! It’s a huge bowl filled with crinkled paper, with an adorable bunny setting atop a cabbage leaf with moss, eggs and a carrot! I purchased the bunny to set atop the scale and Pam helped me pull together the rest of the gathering.

Then I got it home and set it in the bowl and thought it looked great there too! So it’s my new table scape for a while! Don’t you love!?

I did change out the carrot to one I got at NSP later in the day because I ended up putting the other carrot with a Honey and Me bunny I also picked up later and the day. I’ll show it to you later.

Hello Carmen, I have visited your blog for a very long time, but have only been blogging myself for a few months. I have just beccome your newest blogger. Would love for you to visit back and follower. Will have a great giveaway when I reach 100 followers but its moving slowly. Love the shop you just posted about. My style of decorating swings both ways. I love primitives, and I love the country farmhouse, chippy white also. If I see it, and want it, then I don't care what style it is as long as it makes me smile. Just had a friend visit North Shore Primitives from here in the South and she was blown away. Called me from Ohio. Thanks for sharing the wonderful photos and hope to visit often. By the way love the items you got. They are displayed so well in your home.

Thanks for taking us along with you, the pics were great! I love her white, I can understand though. I like many styles and have been considering a change myself. I've been prim for awhile. I don't like pastels though.
