Weigh In Wednesday 3/2/11

Happy Hump Day Blogging Buddies! It’s half way to the weekend and I am grateful for that!

For those of you that don’t know I work a 8-5 / M-F job. It is a decent paying job (only meaning it keeps us “somewhere in the middle”), but as someone who’s current work I admire greatly so referenced her old job to me in an email this week, it’s a Soul Sucking job. Sucks the life out of me everyday. Blah. So come Wednesday I am glad the weekend is halfway here. Always looking forward to Wednesday…

Not this week though! Why you ask? Well it’s weigh in Wednesday and I ended my strict Cinch! diet on last Thursday. EEK!

Lets just get to it!  >.<

Here’s where we are today.

Ideal Weight: 110-115

Starting Weight Jan 3, 2011: 145 Pounds

Last weeks weigh in: 132 pounds 13 ounces

Current weight:  133 pounds 4 ounces

Total lost so far: 11 pounds 7 ounces

I gained this week. :/

Not much. Only 7 ounces. But I still gained. And that’s a bummer.

I cheated this weekend too so I’m not surprised. Hubby hasn’t had Pizza since I started this diet (out of respect for me) so Saturday he asked and I said heck yes! and he ordered some and I joined in! Oh YUM! Pizza will never get old! LOL! So good! And then as I decorated away into the night I decided to have some wine… which always helps me see what I’m going for a little more creatively. :)

So I was no angel over the last week. No angel at all.

On the flip side… I don’t feel that overly bad. The 7 ounces I gained back isn’t even half a pound and it’s probably water weight from adding salt back into my diet with he Lean Cuisine meals. At least that’s what I’m hoping. Next weeks numbers will tell the tale.

I have also decided that I am not going back to the gym. While I enjoyed it greatly I am convinced that the gym is where I picked up all the germs that plagued me for the last 6 weeks. Having Crohns I have a weekend Immune system. What doesn’t bother anyone else can send me down for a long time. I guess its just not worth the risk. The weather is changing and I can get back to walking at lunch everyday. So that works for me.

That’s it for my weigh in. Wish me luck for next week! I don’t want to go up again!

Until next time…

Carmen,

Sticking to a diet is so hard. I've had to change my eating habits due to a trip to the ER and an elevated blood sugar level. I am back to walking 2-2 1/2 miles a day, most days and I have cut out all sugar and eat very few carbs each day...sort of Atkins but only stricter. I am feeling so much better and have lost 13 pounds in 7 weeks.

Keep up trying and you'll get there. Last week I didn't loose that much...maybe it had to do with the cheesecake I made and ate....minus the crust....oh my it was yummy. I will have to wait a few more weeks to make that again or else increase how far I walk so I can splurge.

Its not cheating it is a treat that you can sneak in once in a while..just means walk an extra mile, or run up and down the steps a couple of times to burn it off. As long as you are losing steadily you are doing good and 7 oz is nothing...

I think with weight loss we have to give ourselves off days even if it means a little gain but as long as overall we are in the right direction than that is what counts. Heck you don't even look like you need to lose weight. You look great. But we all know where we are happy at. BTW love your blog. So glad I found it.

Hi Carmen...

Congrats on your weight loss.. if my dh would go away for about two months or eat out.. it would do me a world of good because I would eat less , eat frozen dinners , wash less dishes... etc..

I can't wait for warmer weather to be able to go outside and walk !

I like your floral displays on the prior post.. the cranberry scoop with the crocus ..just so pretty and springy !

Hugs,
Linda
