Thrifty Thursday!

Another sleepy week at the thrift stores here in my town. I’m just spoiled. I’m used to finding 10 great prim things a week at the 2 GW’s in my town. And lately I’m lucky to find 2 or three a week. You need to keep in mind that I go every single day on lunch Monday-Friday. I have nothing else to do with my hour in this little town.

This week I found three things. They were good prices which is surprising because since their donations are down they have jacked up the prices on everything.

Here are this weeks treasures.

*****Pay attention to these pictures… there is something VERY special in them that I’ll be posting about Friday! Can you see it?*****

An adorable little colonial type wall box ($2.50)… which I promptly tore apart! Winking smile  I don’t know if I will leave the lid on or off but I wanted to see if I could remove it easily. What do you think?

A beautiful trencher bowl! $2.00

It had little round feet that I also removed.

And a great prim basket for $1.00. No modifications needed!

Did you see it? Did you see what I have? If not… come back tomorrow and I’ll show you!

Until next time…

Love the wall box with the lid removed...It looks so different. The trencher, oh my...I need to start checking out my goodwill. And the basket...love it. Even if you didn't find 10 prim pieces this week, you did find 3 great pieces. Keep hunting and sharing.

Oh yes I love that box and definitely leave the lid off. The lid is a neat shape. Why not stencil something on it. Love the trencher too. You really scored big time here even though you didn't get much.

I think I know what your next post will be about!

Have a fabulous day.

Great finds! I personally like the lid off on the wall box. That basket is really cool! I am guessing you were talking about the penny rug for your next post. I am in LOVE with your table.

My GW seems to be so expensive. $4-$10 on most things. lol. Isn't that sad, I think that's expensive! I do find nice things there though. It's fun too! Can't wait to see Friday's post. I think I'm going to love it!

Three great finds . . . I haven't found three things in the entire past month. I threw in the towel on junking 'til the outdoor markets start up again. I love the box without the lid. So many more possibilities for displays.

I think I know what you'll post about tomorrow . . . are its initials P.R.?

I think it is an awesome penny rug.
Love the box /o the lid.
Even I-Queen of the Goodwill- had difficulty finding much this week. Donations shouldn't control prices. It is up to whomsoever is pricing things, unless they've been told to up the prices. They have been pretty steep at our stores, too. I'll be glad when yard sales start up. At least, you can haggle with people. Auctions start up next weekend!
