Fresh and clean Dining room

With the Christmas cleared away I can finally see my dining room. Honestly, I can’t get enough of this room right now. I’d stay in there 24/7 if I could. I love it so.

I hope you aren’t tired of it… because I’m delighted to show it to you un-christma-fied in it’s simplistic glory!

Lets take a look around.

You see that book there on the dresser. It’s the biggest dictionary I have ever seen! I’m on a mission to find either a tiny dictionary or a tiny bible to set on top if it! I think the juxtaposition would be cool!

I can finally see my Pewter again. I think I need a bigger shelf!

I love being able to keep the table set all the time since the cats can’t get in there to push my dishes off!

Below… a fruit filled set of stacking bowls and a small firkin stack. Not really happy with these where they are but for now it’s ok.

The hutch proudly displaying my Pfaltzgraff Folk Art.

My Hallmark Spring Feather tree.

My goodwill redo buffet!

1003140112

On the buffet my beautiful Christmas gifts from Dad and Stepmom, and Mom. I just LOVE my new pewter and metal cats!!!! So beautiful!!!

1003140117

I strung up my oranges to finish drying and now I have a happy face in my dining room! LOL! I’ll move these soon.

1003140113

I think I might replace these curtains with Sturbridge all the way to the floor! With no cats… I can do that! Imagine! LOL!

1003140115

Just look how big that book is! I must find a teensy tiny book to adorn it!
1003140116

And of course one last look at the table.

Until next time…

Carmen, I know the feeling about wanting to stay in your dining room! I'll stay in yours or mine! My LR is another story.... I don't get sick of looking at any of your pictures - especially if they contain Folk Art! ~Ann

Your dining room looks so pretty with the table all set. And WOW! That is a HUGE book! I love the dresser it's sitting on. I have a smaller, similar piece in my family room. I just love the burst of color it adds to the room.

I love it all but I wouldn't cover up those great windows. I love the big basket on top of the hutch. Ooooh, and that awesome small chest with the saltboxes on it. You have some awesome pieces.
