Guess what I’m making…

Lookie what I’m making! I was only going to make one for a trade with my friend Andy but then I figured if I was going to make one I might as well make ten!

Do you know what these are going to be?

I’m sure you do!

That’s right! Shoo-fly covers! Aren’t they wonderful!

Some of the screens are real shoo-fly covers I bought to transform, some are just old strainers I’ve picked up,  and some are made from the tutorial that used to be HERE on Char’s blog.  She removed the post because it’s published now but they are made from new Wal-Mart strainers.

They take a few days to complete because you have to flip them again and again but once they are done they are adorable! Can’t wait to show you the finished products!

Until next time…

Andy told me about this trade Carmen. That is so nice of you. I have one of the covers Char made me for a swap and I have a few of my own to do. Hopefully in this lifetime. I just love the way they look with pantry cakes stored under them.
Please post pics of them when you are done.

carmen, I love shoo-fly covers...I wanted one so bad that I paid a pretty penny for mine but it was worth it! I can't wait to see yours finished very excited! By the way... I hate to ask but I noticed in your post with the living room decorated for Christmas, your TV stand. Where did you get it or did you just run upon it? We are getting a big TV and need something to put it on.

I'd love to have one of those but all the new strainers I've seen in stores like Wal Mart look like they would be a pain to tear apart! Care to share how you did yours? I love your blog and have signed on to follow!
