The Simple Goods Show

Good Morning Everyone! Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers regarding my not feeling well. That’s very nice of you. :) I appreciate it. My Dr’s appt did not go as I would have liked. He wants to run a bunch of expensive tests that will fall under my deductable before changing my meds and I’m not real happy about that. I understand his caution but he needs to understand that I don’t have a couple thousand dollars lying around for tests my insurance won’t cover. We shall see what happens…

Now… on to way happier things!!!!

If you look over there on my side bar I’m at 98 followers! Very exciting for me! Come on peeps! Give me two more today and make my day! ;)

Last Saturday my friend Tammy and I went to the Simple Goods show in Mt. Vernon Ohio. It was AMAZING!! I loved everything there. I couldn’t afford most of it… but you know I loved it!!!! I highly recommend this show. It was Awesome! If you can find a way to go you will love it. Most everything was drab and while I don’t decorate in that style I appreciate it! I can’t wait for the spring show. We are defiantly going back!

Right off the bat I met Karen and Doug from My Colonial Home. Hi Karen! I stole our pic from you! I hope you don’t mind. :)

And a few steps later I had my first purchase in my hands! This adorable little mouse! Isn’t he the best!

I lub hims. ♥

He is the only thing I bought at the show. He was way outta my normal price range for a one item buy but I couldn’t resist! This is Primcats House and that mouse belonged with us to taunt the kittehs!

I forgot my camera… so below are some pics Tammy took with her cell. They are not the greatest but they will give you an idea of what the show has to offer.

The one downside to the show was that it was VERY crowded. Horribly to be more blunt. You could barely move in most places. I really hate situations like that. Having Crohn’s disease I find myself sick often after being in crowded places because my immune system is such a piece of ……! So far so good… I’m not sick. But I really wish they held it in a bigger place so you didn’t have to be so touchy feely with your fellow shoppers.

So that’s it for the Simple Goods Show. Loved it and will be going back for sure! Hope you enjoyed the pics!

Have a blessed day!

Until next time…
Carmen and the Primcats

Doctors do not understand about budgeting. Truth is they don't know how much the tests they order cost. Our doctor was shocked when he found out that the finger prick cost $50!Full labs can run in the high hundreds. Colonoscopies are in the thousands. It is nuts! What happened to the new plan? Is this it? We still have no insurance since my hubby lost his job of 30 years( plant sold and closed). He has since been declared disabled by the dr. There is a 2 year wait for medical insurance when you are declared disabled. Does that make sense? You can't work and you can't be insured? I don't stand a chance. I haven't worked a real job since 1992. My doc says I am definitely disabled but I don't qualify because I don't have the right number of worked quarters? I am still too young to get Social Security, as is my hubby. It's been 2 years of just playing it by ear. I have finally applied for assistance but you have to jump through so many bureaucratic hoops. They must embarrass you to death first, then deny you.
Sorry to get on a soapbox but the system sure riles me up. I certainly hope you feel better very soon.
I know how horrible Crohn's can be. I know stress can cause symptoms to worsen.
Love that you were able to go to the show. What fun!

Thanks so much for posting pictures of the show! I wasn't able to go this time but I hear the next one is in April so I'm marking my calendar now.

I hope your doctor can find a way to work within your budget. I know it's an awful thing when we have to put our health on hold because of money.

I see you've now hit 104 followers YAY!!!
