Love and Respect…

Happy Monday everyone! I hope all you mothers out there had a wonderful Mothers Day. I know you all deserve it!

This was a really up and down weekend at Primcats house. As my last post mentioned I am under the weather. A trip to the doctors Friday confirmed the under part… I have strep throat and a sinus infection. YUK! The good news is I got some antibiotics so I am on the mend and feeling better!

As I’ve posted before my husband and I have been separated for the last 6 months and we have come back together and are working hard on our marriage with 100% commitment to it. On the recommendation of a wonderful church in our area we signed up for a video conference they were hosting. The cost was only $30.00 for both of us for 2 days and it was only 20 minutes from home. I wasn’t sure what to expect but we are up for anything that can give us tools to better our marriage.

So after heading home early from work Friday and taking a three hour nap… hubby and I headed to the conference. 6:30 to 10:30 on Friday Night and the 8:30 to 2 on Saturday.

Let me tell you… I have never learned so much in my life!!! Holy Moley!!! That conference should be an ABSOLUTE prerequisite to getting married! It was wonderful and we both loved it. I can not rave to you enough about how many wonderful tools were were given in those 2 days. And I can not stress enough that if we had had these tools 2 years ago our marriage never would have taken the route it did. It was so good that to my surprise my wonderful husband has been telling all his guy friends that they just HAVE to go to this thing! I’m so proud of him!

Even if you have the absolute best marriage in the world right now… or on the other hand you are sitting there staring down the ink barrel of a pen about to sign your divorce papers… this conference is for you!!! Everyone in the world would benefit from it.

Click the link below to take you to the website and if there is a conference you can get to… GO! You will not regret it. If there isn’t one near you drive hundreds of miles to get to it! Or beg your church to host it.

It’s life/relationship changing!

On to the down part of the weekend. My Grandmother passed away last night of COPD. She was 90 and lived a good life. For the last 5 months my Father and Stepmom cared for her in their home in hospice. She passed away peacefully there. I cry not for her passing, for she is at peace with our Father now, but I cry for those she’s leaving behind that will miss her so much. My daddy has lost his mommy and I cry for him. She was his best friend and her passing has left a huge hole in his life. Please say a prayer for my family during this time of sorrow.

Blessings,

Carmen

I'm so sorry you lost your grandma, but I know what you're saying about not crying for her but for those who miss her. I'm so happy to read about people who want to work to make their marriage work. You didn't give up on each other and that's such a good thing in these times. Bravo to both of you. Glad you're on the mend. Get better soon.
